In 2026, theGuruCircle launches Guruvandana as our flagship tribute event. We invite nominations from students, parents, colleagues, and institutions who have witnessed extraordinary teaching. Our panel of judges, composed of respected educators and community leaders, will review each nomination to select winners across multiple categories.
Winners will be honored at a virtual awards ceremony on August 15, 2026, and will receive recognition that extends far beyond a single day. Guruvandana winners become part of a community of recognized educators, gaining visibility, opportunities, and the acknowledgment they deserve.

Review Process
Our panel of judges, composed of experienced educators and community leaders, reviews each nomination. We verify credentials, contact references, and evaluate the depth of impact described.
Finalist Notification
Finalists in each category are notified and invited to the awards ceremony. They also receive guidance on preparing their acceptance remarks.
Awards Ceremony

Who can nominate an educator?
Anyone can nominate: students, parents, colleagues, administrators, or community members. We welcome nominations from anyone who has witnessed exceptional teaching.
Can educators nominate themselves?
Self-nominations are accepted but must include two external references who can verify your impact. We encourage educators to ask students or colleagues to nominate them instead.
Is there a nomination fee?
No. Guruvandana nominations are completely free. We believe recognition should be based on merit, not ability to pay.
What makes a strong nomination?
Specific examples matter more than general praise. Tell us what the educator did, how it helped you or others, and what changed as a result. Include details like dates, projects, or measurable outcomes when possible.
What do winners receive?

When will finalists be announced?
Finalists will be notified privately by August 2. Public announcements of winners happen during the awards ceremony on August 15.
